Lobuje Peak Climbing

Day by day Itinerary
Day 01 - Arrival Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel

Arrival in Kathmandu airport.Our representative will receive you and transfer to the Hotel on private Coach. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02 - Preparing for climbing equipement and legal documents. Overnight at Hotel

After breakfast, our Guide/Sherpa will brief you about the trip and check your equipment. If something necessary more, you can buy or rent in Kathmandu. Permit and necessary documents will be prepared at evening. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 - Fly to Lukla 2800m. & trek to Phakding 2610m.

Early morning transfer to the domestic airport for flying to Lukla. After breakfast in Lukla, you start the trek to Phakding takes about 4/5 hours. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 04 - Trek to Namche Bazaar 3440m.

After breakfast, you start walking step up to Namche bazaar. Lunch break will be near Monjo.Total takes 7/8 hours trekking. Overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 05 - Namche rest for acclimatization.

This day you will rest in Namche Bazar for acclimatization. Afternoon you will hike up to Syanboche which is about 3800m and back to the Hotel.

Day 06 - Trek to Tengboche 3800m.

After breakfast, you start trekking and lunch break will be on the way near the riverside then walking step up to Tyangboche. Total takes 5/6 hours trekking. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 07 - Trek to Dingboche 4300m.

After breakfast trek to Dingboche takes about 5/6 hours. The walking today is uphill yet done very slowly to adjust to the altitude thus pace yourself slowly .After crossing the Imja river the trail heads to the village of Pangboche, backed by the peak of Ama Dablam, where we will take lunch then further few walking to Dingboche.One can see beautiful view of Island Peak, Amadablam and many moutains. Overnight in Lodge.

Day 08 - Rest in Dinboche(Acclimatization day).

Dingboche is located in a patchwork of small fields enclosed by stone walls protecting the crops. An ascent of the hill behind our lodge will showcase great views of the fifth highest mountain in the world, Makalu, which is not visible from the valley floor. A walk up the valley towards Chukkung is worthwhile. The views are fantastic in this valley; to the north is Lhotse, Island Peak in the centre of the valley, and the crimped ice-walls of unnamed peaks that line the southern end of the valley form a hauntingly beautiful sight.

Day 09 - Trek to Lobuche 4900m.

After breakfast you start trekking slowly up to Dughla for lunch break. After lunch you will trek along the beautiful Khumbu Glacier and take few hours step up to reach Lobuje which is about 5/6 hours total trekking from Dingboche.

Day 10 - Trek upto Kalapathar 5545m and back to Lobuche.

After breakfast you will follow the broad valley running parallel to the Khumbu glacier. The trail ascends only gradually to the moraines of the Changri Nup Glacier but from here you make a series of small ascents and descents over a rocky trail lined with cairns that leads eventually to Gorak Shep 5200m. After lunch you will set off uphill to Kala Patar to experience a comprehensive sunset views from this amazing point. It will probably take a good hour and a half to reach the summit from Gorak Shep, although lower viewpoints will provide views almost as good. Pumori, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam, Taweche, Kantega and Everest. As we will be descending in fading light, do take a head-torch for this excursion. 6-7 hours trek.

Day 11 - Trek to Cho-La Pass for Acclimatization.

After breakfast you will trek back to Dhugla and meet with climbing sherpas and members and trek up to Cho-La Pass for Acclimatization.

Day 12 - Acclimatization and Instructional day camp.

This day our Sherpa will take your ice climbing place and teach you how to use the climbing equipments, crevasse rescue, ice climbing skills, rope work and comprehensive mountaineering safety techniques.

Day 13 - Trek to Lobuje Base Camp (5400m).

Trekking up to Lobuje base Camp takes about few hours and set up our all preparation for next day early attempt. Overnight at Camp.

Day 14 - Climb to High Camp.

Early morning start climbing till High Camp. Overnight at Camp.

Day 15 - Summit to the top of Lobuje Peak (6119) and back to Base Camp.

Depart early morning about 3 am to summit the top of Lobuje and back to Base Camp.Overnight at Camp.

Day 16 - Extra day or Trek back to Tyangboche.

This is extra day provide you a second opportunity to summit due to bad weather or illness. If you have already summit to the top, you can trek back to Tyanboche which takes about 7/8 hours walking down.

Day 17 - Trek back to Tyangboche.

After breakfast we start trekking down to Tyanboche. Lunch break will be near Pangboche. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 18 - Trek to Monjo.

Trekking to Monjo takes about 7/8 hours.Overnight at Lodge

Day 19 - Trek to Lukla.

Trekking to Lukla takes about 6/7 hours. Last dinner program with Sherpa/staffs. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 20 - fly to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

Early morning: walking down at Lukla Airport to fly Kathmandu. Our representative will receive you and transfer to the Hotel on private coach.

Day 21 - Free day in Kathmandu

Free day in Kathmandu for visiting some famous places and own shopping. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 22 - Final Departure

Airport transfer for Final Departure.
